SOLD OUT: How to watch or hear local football in Week 1

SM-TN Sports

About two hours is all it took for the fourth annual Backyard Bowl to sell out the allotted 900 tickets.

“There will be no tickets available for sale at the game,” Spring Hill athletics director John Farmer said. “People should not come if they don’t have a ticket.”

Don’t fret, however. If you want to watch or hear the game live, there are a few ways to do that.

For the 74th season, WKRM Radio in Columbia will broadcast the Columbia Central Lions football games. The radio broadcast can be heard on 103.7-FM beginning at 6:45, following the station’s pregame show that airs at 6 p.m.

For those who want to see the game, Spring Hill will have its NFHS Network team on hand with video and commentary. NFHS Network is a paid subscription model broadcast, costing $10.99 per month or $69.99 annually.

According to Spring Hill football coach Ben Martin, the Raiders will be streaming the game live at Jonathan’s Grill, located in The Crossings, on Friday night for those who would like to see the game at no cost.

SUMMIT @ INDEPENDENCE

For those fans unable to make it to Independence on Friday night for the Border Battle between the Eagles and Summit, three radio broadcasts will be available. No video options are available at this time.

WKOM, 101.7-FM, will broadcast all Summit games in 2020, while Dash2Sports continues its coverage of Indy football through its online stream. This week, the Border Battle was named the 104.5-The Zone Game of the Week, and can be heard there as well.
