Justin Buchmann’s back-to-back touchdown runs in the third quarter Friday night put Columbia Central in a position to keep its momentum going — both in Friday’s game and the season.

The senior transfer from Michigan tallied from a yard out midway through the period and on a 13-yarder at the two-minute mark to help the Lions earn a 28-14 win over Nolensville at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Back in the rotation after sitting out last week’s game against Lincoln County, junior Christian Biggers tallied 63 yards on 11 carries and tied the game at 7-7 on a 1-yard run just before halftime.

Buchmann put his pair of touchdowns on the board in the third quarter, and a fumbled kickoff by the Knights set up the dagger from Antwan Moore, putting the Lions ahead comfortably 28-7 going into the final frame.
