Gerhart leads Spring Hill boys to Chickasaw XC championship

Forrest’s Jaedyn Stalnecker and Spring Hill’s Michael Gerhart claimed the individual titles at the South Central Middle Tennessee cross country meet Tuesday at Columbia’s Chickasaw Trace Park.

Stalnecker won the girls 5K competition, running a 21-minute, 13.94-second time to finish just ahead of Agathos Classical’s Lillian Quinn (22:28.94) and lead the Lady Rockets to the team championship.

Alivia Riggs (22:53.15) and Claire Woods (23:06.94) placed third and fourth for Summertown, as the Lady Eagles placed second. Zion Christian’s Hayley Keys (23:59.97) finished fifth, with her team placing third.

On the boys side, Gerhart ran a 16:58.88, with Zion’s William Craig (17:28.84) finishing second. Spring Hill freshman Tyson Peters ran an 18:01.24 for third place, followed by Columbia Central’s Trace Schoeberl (18:24.56) and Forrest’s C.J. Sanchez (18:28.84).

Spring Hill won the team competition, with Forrest finishing second.
