Softball

Spring Hill 4, Page 2: Kat Carter continued her dominance in the circle for Spring Hill, going eight innings and striking out 14 Patriot hitters en route to the Lady Raiders’ first District 11-AAA win of the year. She also did damage at the dish with a two sacrifice bunts that brought home a pair of runs for her team. D’Naijah Wade added a pair of hits and scored twice in the win, while Bella Umstead tallied an RBI as well.

Culleoka 8, Santa Fe 2: Culleoka plated four runs in the first inning and cruised to a District 10-A win over cross-county rival Santa Fe on Tuesday. Kylie Thomas led the Lady Warriors at the plate with a 3-for-3 night that included a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Briley Boles and Katelyn Beckenbach also drove in two runs each in the win. Thomas also got the win in the circle, giving up two unearned runs on eight hits and striking out seven.

Zion Chr. 18, Christ Presbyterian Acad. 3: Zion Christian scored 13 runs in the fourth inning to earn a big win in Division II-A District 3 play. Halle Adcox, Kendall Daranovich, Emily Mesko, Claire Boyd and Deanna Trousdale each had two RBIs in the game. Five other Lady Eagles drove in runs as well. Ashleia Coble was dominant in the circle for Zion, going the distance. She gave up three runs, none earned, on just three hits and struck out nine of the 12 hitters she retired in the contest.

Baseball

Culleoka 15, Mt. Pleasant 12: Behind an eight-run fourth inning, Culleoka outslugged Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday to get a big District 10-A win over the Tigers. Lucas Wagoner was 3-for-5 on the night and drove in three runs to lead the Warriors. Peyton Adams, Carson Lovell and Clayton St. Clair each added a pair of RBIs as well. Hayden Holt led Mt. Pleasant with three RBIs on a pair of hits, while Ben Newland had three RBIs with a bases-clearing triple in the third.

Loretto 12, Collinwood 1: Josh Porter drove in four runs to lead Loretto to a District 12-A win on Tuesday, and Clint Seymore and Carter Daniel added three more RBIs each for the Mustangs. Garrett Fisher, Caleb Davis and Keyden Tidwell combined for a 1-hitter and 10 strikeouts in the game.

Brentwood 9, Summit 8 (8 inn.): Brentwood broke open a 6-6 tie in extra innings with a three-run eighth inning, and Summit’s comeback attempt in the bottom of the eighth fell a run short. Austin Kincaid went 2-for-4 in the game with a couple of RBIs, but struck out to end the game. Jason Ham got the nod on the hill, and went one out into the sixth for the Spartans. He gave up four runs, two earned, on five hits in the game.

Soccer

Brentwood 5, Independence 0: Ollie Joyner led the Bruins with a hat trick, while Brentwood also got goals from Cline Simmons and Aidan Parker. Logan Stegall posted his third shutout in goal.

Spring Hill 3, Lawrence County 0 : Spring Hill got goals from Jorge Cortez, Dakota Jackson and Launier Perez, while Ryan Mitovich put up a clean sheet in goal for the Raiders.
