Softball

Zion Chr. 11, Battle Ground Acad. 0: Ashleia Coble tossed a no-hitter, striking out 15 for Zion Christian, as the Eagles extended their win streak to three games in district play. Halle Adcox led the Lady Eagles offensively with three hits and a pair of RBIs. Coble added a pair of RBIs as well with one hit. Deanna Trousdale and Elizabeth Wood each went a perfect 2-for-2 for Zion Christian.

Culleoka 10, Mt. Pleasant 9: The Lady Warriors scored eight runs over the final three innings to complete a comeback win over Mt. Pleasant in District 10-A play Thursday. Kylie Thomas singled to left field and brought home a pair of runs in the seventh for the eventual winning runs. Thomas and Katelyn Beckenbach each tallied three hits and two RBIs for the Lady Warriors in the win. Shalyea Burns added a pair of RBIs as well on two hits. Freshman Sophie Rettinger led the Lady Tigers with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate with an RBI.

Baseball

Santa Fe 9, Hampshire 1: An eight-run outburst in the fifth inning broke open a 1-0 game for the Wildcats en route to a win. Santa Fe pitcher Carter Seltz no-hit the Hawks in the game, striking out 16 hitters.

Hardin County 7, Loretto 4: A four-run fourth inning helped deal Loretto a loss in tournament action Thursday. Clint Seymore started the game for Loretto. He lasted 4 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out five. Kade Lay threw 2 2/3 innings in relief. Carter Daniel was 1-for-3 with an RBI, while Caden Porter drove home a run as well.

Summit 10, Independence 6: Summit jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a big District 11-AAA win. The Spartans plated seven runs — all of which came with two outs — in the first inning. Austin Kincaid drove in a run and Max Fell doubled home a pair as well. John Dippold and Drew Plummer added RBIs in the inning. For the game, Kincaid, Alex Runk and Devin Thrain each had a pair of hits for the Spartans. Thrain got the win on the bump, going five innings and giving up three earned runs.

Soccer

Zion Chr. 5, Providence Chr. 4, Shootout: Aiden Brown netted two goals while Wesley Riggins, Micah Chapek and Dylan Ratliff each had one in a win for the Eagles on the pitch.
