Summertown 18, Mt. Pleasant 5: Lane Burleson went to the plate three times in the opening inning for the host Eagles, who scored 14 runs in their first at-bat. Burleson had one of four Summertown home runs in the five-inning victory, along with Drake Blackwood (grand slam), Skylar Trousdale and Grant Burleson. Grayson Burleson worked four innings to earn the pitching decision. Hayden Holt, Codell Gilliam, Connor Hay and Brady Clark each had hits for the Tigers.
Spring Hill 4, Lawrence Co. 3 (9 inn.): Luka Boylan and Dawson Hargrove each had RBI singles in the ninth, with Hargrove’s standing as the gamewinner after the Wildcats stranded the tying run in the bottom of the final inning. Brantly Whitwell struck out three in 3 1/3 innings to earn the victory, and had two hits to pace the Raider offense. Sam Bradley had a pair of doubles for Lawrence County.
Santa Fe 12, East Hickman 0: Carter Seltz and Josh Martin combined for 12 strikeouts and the Wildcats scored five runs in the third open to break open the non-district road contest. Seltz, with two triples, and Peyton Wilhelm each scored three times.
Columbia Acad. 16, Creek Wood 4: The Bulldogs scored 11 first-inning runs and Kavares Tears struck out nine in four innings. Tears and Tanner Ham each had three hits, while Damon Toombs drove in four runs.
Russellville (Ala.) 5, Loretto 0: Limited to just four hits, the Mustangs dropped their third game of the week. Clint Seymore had a double in the loss, with Jackson Traglia, Tristen Green and Lane Ezell each adding base hits.
Ravenwood 18, Summit 6: The host Spartans scored four first-inning runs, including homers by Drew Plummer and Cameron Lee, but had little offense the rest of the way. Myles Denton had two hits, driving in four runs and scoring twice, to help spearhead the Raptor attack. Lee and Devin Thrain each had two hits for Summit in the loss.
Zion Chr. 10-16, Franklin Chr. 4-11: The Eagles swept a home twinbill, as Dillan Runions had four hits, four RBIs and three runs – as well as five stitches after taking a pitch to the face — in the two victories. Luke Perko, who earned the decision Wednesday against Hampshire in relief, picked up both wins in the doubleheader as well.

Columbia Acad. 13, Grace Chr. 1: An eight-run fourth inning paved the way for the Lady Bulldogs, with doubles by Karley Harakas and Tori Duval keying the rally. Journey Mitchell struck out 10 over four innings to earn the victory. Myleah Hardy went 2-for-2, hitting her 12th home run of the season and her third in as many games.
Boys soccer
Columbia Central 6, Lincoln Co. 0: The Lions continue to storm through District 8-AAA, improving to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in league play with Thursday’s dominant victory. Brewer Wall finished with a hat trick along with a pair of assists, with Victor Ramirez, Mason Hollandsworth and Collin Rowe closing out the scoring. Dane Holley did not face a shot in recording his sixth shutout in goal, as Central has outscored its opponents 28-2 on the year.
