Loretto 5, Giles Co. 3: Loretto got a big night at the plate from Josh Porter, Camden Porter and Carter Daniel to earn a win. All three finished with a double and a single Josh Porter had a pair of RBIs, while Camden Porter added one RBI.

Summertown 4, Eagleville 1: Grayson Burleson launched his first career home run to lead the visiting Eagles to a win. Grant Burleson earned the win on the bump with a complete game, striking out 16 in the win.

Softball

Cornersville 9, Culleoka 3: Despite taking a lead on an Alex Skinner two-run homer in the third inning, Culleoka couldn’t hang on, as the Lady Dawgs answered with a three-run homer of their own in the bottom half. Cornersville scored a run in each of the fourth and fifth innings before putting up a four-spot in the sixth to put the game away. Culleoka added a run in the seventh on a Skinner double. Kylie Thomas gave up five earned runs on 10 hits and took the loss in the circle.

Boys Soccer

Columbia Central 8, Rossview 1: Hat tricks from Victor Ramierez and Brewer Wall helped Columbia Central to get back in the win column following a tough stretch of games. The Lions also got goals from Randy Gray and John Dunn. Mason Hollingsworth’s corner kick set up Dunn and he assisted Wall on the Lions’ final goal. Kameron Smith and Ramierez each notched assists in the game.
