Lawrence Co. 2, Coffee Co. 1: Lawrence County kept its season alive with a Luke Boswell single in the sixth that scored a run to edge Coffee County. The Wildcats managed just three hits in the game, but they were enough for the 8-AAA Pitcher of the Year Boswell to get the win. He went the distance, throwing just 87 pitches, striking out six.
Summertown 6, Loretto 2: Three hits for Summertown was plenty in Game 1 of the District 12-A tournament finals. Loretto took a 2-1 lead in the second inning, but a Lane Burleson homer in the fourth was the blast the Eagles needed. Summertown added a pair of runs when Drake Blackwood knocked a bases-loaded double and then Cory Francis drew a walk to bring in a run as well. Gavin Burleson got the win, going 6 2/3 innings and throwing 119 pitches. Francis recorded the final out of the game. Josh Porter was 3-for-3 with an RBI for Loretto, while Caleb Davis and Caden Porter had a pair of hits as well. The two teams will play a second game Wednesday.
Richland 12-4, Santa Fe 0-3: After the host Raiders forced a second District 10-A tournament title game with an early five-inning victory, they held on to edge the Wildcats for the title. Third-seeded Santa Fe advanced to the championship contest with a 9-8, 12-inning victory on Saturday.
CPA 7, Columbia Acad. 3: Kavares Tears went deep in the first inning, and Grant Wooldridge singled home a pair of runs to give CA an early 3-0 lead, but that was all the offense the Dawgs could muster in their seventh meeting with the Lions. Sophomore Braxton Orr shut down CA for the remainder of the game, giving up a total of five hits and three runs, striking out seven.

Mt. Pleasant 5, Culleoka 3: Culleoka scored three runs in the sixth inning, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the lead Mt. Pleasant built with two runs in the first, another in the third and two more in the fourth. Shelby McNeal led the way for Mt. Pleasant in the District 10-A tourney elimination game with a pair of RBIs on two hits. Kylie Brewer added two hits and an RBI as well. Katie Thomason went the distance for the Lady Tigers, giving up six hits and one earned run, while striking out six.
Boys soccer
Columbia Central 8, Lincoln Co. 0: A flurry of second-half netters added to an early Brewer Wall goal to advance Columbia Central in District 8-AAA tournament play. Wall was assisted by Victor Ramirez on his goal. Ramirez added a pair of goals himself as well. Other goals were scored by Collin Rowe, Alex Freyre, Brandon Carr, Benton Wall and Xavier Mora.
